LOS ANGELES, CA – GRID Partners, a solar development firm located in Los Angeles, CA was recently selected by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) as one of five solar firms to qualify in a recent Request for Qualifications (RFQ) by LACCD.

GRID was selected to the Shortlist of Applicants in a District Wide Pre-Qualification request and will be eligible to compete for solar photovoltaic projects once they have been identified by LACCD. Several firms responded to the RFQ and were scored on factors ranging from project experience to key personnel and the overall ability to manage solar construction projects.

Clean, Renewable Energy Projects to be installed throughout U.S. locations

LOS ANGELES, CA – LAZ Parking, one of the largest parking companies in the nation with a portfolio of nearly half a million spaces announced today that it has teamed with Los Angeles based GRID Partners to retrofit a number of its existing parking facilities across the United States with solar shaded canopies, an effort that could potentially generate well in excess of 20 MW of power, or enough renewable energy to power over 5,000 homes.

Initially, LAZ Parking intends to offer this state-of-the-art GRID product to a number of its clients throughout the nation. When completed, it will offer to individuals parking at LAZ managed facilities additional amenities by providing shaded parking which will create greater protection from the elements for customers. Other benefits from these canopies include improved lighting which provides increased security as well as EV charging stations, which will allow for the anticipated increased demand in electric vehicles.
